Years ago, I was asked by family members if i passed along their chain-mails and I told them that "pass this along" translates directly to "delete this immediately", which I always did. That stopped the emails. And they were never emails for something interesting like tix or a fresh sheet.

Yeah, back then they knew if you broke the chain. I lost a friend for always breaking her chains and refusing to sign up for AT&T friends and family plan, she needed a fifth person to get the discount and I was happy with my phone service. That was 30 years ago. She got really upset. Oh well..
