We are so thankful to have Governor Cox. It will be a great thing to pray as a state for more rain. We are so thankful for this great leader.

I'm also thankful for Governor Cox. But, we also need to be careful what we pray for. What if the rain comes . . . and it doesn't stop. We could have floods and washed out roads. It's happened before in St. George, New Orleans, and don't forget what happened to Noah.

It couldn't hurt to pray, but you'll get one of two results. Rain, or no rain, in which case people will say "Well, it's God's will. He's mysterious. How can we as mere mortals question his plan?

I would add into that so many people turning their hearts against God in how they live their lives - encouraging behavior and practices contrary to his laws. The only time some people pray is when they're in crisis and yet they still won't follow his commandments. Become a more godly people and maybe he'll answer our prayers.

Can't pray away carbon emissions, buddy. We've made our bed and it's just gonna get worse. I feel bad for our kids.
It often rains during the mormon conference weekends in April and October. They gather, like termites to wood. Their saying is "When the saints meet, the heavens weep." We love it when it's dry as a bone those weekends.
The early heat wave continues! Temperatures hit record highs across the state and it only gets hotter for Friday. Expect sunshine, decreasing air quality and highs in the upper 90s to 100 for the Wasatch Front. Temperatures will continue to run 15-20 degrees above average through Saturday. We fall back to the lower 90s Sunday, but we're not going to see a dramatic drop in temperatures for a while. Conditions look to stay hotter than average and very dry for the next 7 to 10 days.
Cover my earth mother four times with many flowers. Let the heavens be covered with the banked-up clouds. Let the earth be covered with fog; cover the earth with rains.
Mormons shit they're practically as nutjob as Scientologists
Let's not forget the delicate genius of Rick Perry 10 years ago.....
The Days of Prayer for Rain in the State of Texas was a designated period from Friday, April 22, 2011, to Sunday, April 24, 2011, during which Texas governor Rick Perry asked that Texans pray for "the healing of our land" and for an end to the drought. The governor noted that in the past, Texans "have been strengthened, assured and lifted up through prayer", and that he thus believed prayer to be an appropriate measure to address the drought.
Perry designated the Days of Prayer in a gubernatorial proclamation issued on April 21. Precedents for his action included similar initiatives in Texas at the municipal level and a prayer service for rain led by Georgia governor Sonny Perdue in 2007.The proclamation, which did not specify a text for the prayer and called for the "Days of Prayer" to begin on Good Friday, received some criticism.
Aftermath:The drought continued to worsen for four months following the Days of Prayer. While only 15–17% of the state was undergoing exceptional drought by late April, the percentage grew to 50% a month later, and by late June, more than 70% of the state was experiencing exceptional drought conditions, a level at which it persisted until August 18, 2011. Most of the drought conditions subsided by the end of summer, when rain returned to various parts of Texas.
The first major rain in the state after the Days of Prayer came 168 days later on October 9, 2011.

Forecast - 10% chance on Saturday, and we're about 20 degrees above normal. https://www.ksl.com/weather/forecast

The native americans had christianity shoved down their throats, due in part to such pagan beliefs as dancing for the Great Spirit for rain.
Prayer, on the other hand, is obviously how decent white people respond to such things as mass shootings and unfavorable weather conditions.
