I'm such a Roger Waters fan,
I'm such a Roger Waters fan, and none of this changes any of that for me, but good grief, it amazes me that he doesn't see how ridiculous this is and how it makes him look, or more to the point, how clearly it exposes what type of person he is.
He's MELTING about such little things that happened so long ago. It's clear he's immensely pissed about being barred from the Pink Floyd website, and originally that all looked like it was Gilmour who was being childish, but now it's pretty easy to see why Gilmour has no interest in being anywhere near Waters, physically or virtually.
It's not like he's saying Gilmour is taking millions of dollars out of his pocket, he crying about Gilmour possibly taking a little more credit than he may be due for things that happened 45 years ago, and the example his gives isn't even really that. Sheesh, what a maroon.
But then again, maybe this is all just a master-stroke of marketing genius, creating a much bigger buzz about a re-release of an album from 44 years ago.
And yes, Animals is a brilliant album that seemed to get a bit buried in historical context by the massive success of the previous two albums, and then the huge explosion of success from The Wall soon after. But IMO Animals stands with any of their other albums.
Side note: I think Waters would enjoy the Viva experience. His whining, memememe, NOTHING IS MY FAULT melty attitude would fit right into a certain segment of the black screen population.
