Series Finale Pre-Show - Quarantine Concert #1 - Live from Fur Peace Ranch from April 4, 2020

I was under the impression the final show would be Hot Tuna on the outdoor stage.

It appears that is not the case. : (

We have tickets for Saturday's debut outdoor show with an audience as well as the Sunday show which was just added.

I will post some pics from both shows. 5:00 EDT start on Saturday and 4:00 EDT on Sunday.

#50 Quarantine Concert intermission.

Hey everyone...

It has been our honor to be able to bring you these 50 FREE Quarantine shows and Quarantine Vault shows for over a year now. Number 50 is here and we are making it a special night for everyone. We will be recording the show in front of a live audience at 5pm this Saturday. With so many audio issues that happened last week, we can't risk going live with issues we cannot fix in time so....first, we'll start off the night (Saturday May 29th at 8pm) with a throwback show to April 4th, 2020 (our very first Quarantine show). We are asking as many people that want to...to send us a 30 second video clip of what the Quarantine shows have meant to you or what your favorite part of the shows were. Tell us why you keep tuning in? We will post as many of these videos as we can but you've got it get it to us before Friday at May 28th at 5pm.

Please send your 30 second video clip to

[email protected].

We'll show the video's before #50 Quarantine show which will air at a special 10 pm time slot. Anything we don't use will be saved for a documentary (along with the video's that get in on time and are usable) that we hope to start working on soon.

View both shows for this Saturday May 29th at https://youtu.be/SGPiGirbXZ0

^ Thanks, Judit!

We are staying overnight in Athens on Saturday.

It will be great to relive the show from the comfort of our friend's hot tub!

My husband Leper van and I are going to both shows this weekend. The ranch treats everyone like family. As you enter, Jorma makes a point to say hi to you. On May 15, we hung out after the show with Michael and Jorma as they tore down. Jorma is always insightful and funny, and he's genuinely interested in his guests. We're from Columbus, so he talked about how Columbus is a "real" city and the places he liked. Michael talked about his travels across the U.S. It's a special place, oh yeah, and the music is awesome.

You've had some exciting and warm experiences there. I am beginning to feel like going to Fur Peace Ranch instead of (in addition to?) going to Europe when I next travel will be the thing to do. I am falling in love with the warmth of the FPR family as we see it on the stream, and the music fills me completely. These Saturday evenings are carrying me from week-to-week through life and medical appointments and the crap I've been living in.

The Europe thing is Covid travel-postponed and would be staying and traveling with a very close friend who lives there so it won't cost a huge amount. I've never been east of the Rocky mountain states (except the Newark Airport in 1978) so going to Ohio would be a grand adventure. I have no idea if it'll really happen, but I can dream.

Dream your dream, Judit!

We will help you all we can if you choose Ohio.

Hurl is a real friend to all.

I could not have a bigger crush than I do on Hurl. And I appreciate your help if I end up coming to Ohio. I Imagine that you and "Lil" are especially nice and lively to have the relationships you have there.

Tonight's going to be great!

We could do better than 50 degrees and drizzle, though

Sorry you don't have our weather but I imagine you'll have a blast anyway!

Thanks for sharing the pix.

The stage area looks to me like a cozy bedroom or living room from many years ago. Damp and cool, eh? (what LCL said) Jack and Jorma look like they are dressed for the North! I love all the grey hair in the audience.

We'll see you later.

For you, Judit

Another show today! Yay!

Thank you, so sweet of you. He's a beautiful sight and inspiring in many ways. He seems sweet, funny, gentle (but I'm guessing he can be fierce when it's the time for it), and so capable. Oh my...

Is the pic from today? It looks drier, maybe not warmer?

You were at a special show yesterday and I'm so glad we all got to be there with you. So many musical moments that started small, in one note, and grew to fill the air and our hearts. I almost never participate in the stream chats but I actually posted a few times, heart overflowing.

Have a great show today!!!

That was some good, soulful Tuna! Audio sounded great too. Bravo!

>>> Tuna shining! <<<

My River Flows CD came on Sat and I got to listen on my 40 mile round trip to Safeway. But I already knew it was good cause I caught the gig where they played it. Rather I watched the video. Anyway, good stuff.

Thanks for sharing your visit to FPR. I count myself as lucky to be a part of their scene in whatever form it takes.

Been a fan for about 50 years. Yikes!

Hopefully you can come to Ohio! Hurl, Jorma and Vanessa love to hear kind words, especially from those who are from out of state.

Yes, thanks for sharing your visits. It brings us even closer than the streams, if that's possible.

Speaking of being a fan for 50 years, I'm a big Jack fan for a little longer than that. As might be easy to tell (Phil), I like bass players who either play lead or work so closely with other musicians/instruments that they weave a fabric of sound with each other. Doesn't have to be a tightly woven fabric, being generous with space between notes works very well for me, too. Anyway, these guys have got it. Acoustic Hot Tuna, Jorma and Hurl, Myron, Larry Campbell, can't remember who else played at FPR, I'm so happy about the gifts of this year. Myron's song selections of songs about working people were especially meaningful. I'm so glad I didn't have to try to get through this year without Fur Peace Ranch and the sensabilities of the people there.

Sure made the last 15 month bearable.

My MIL was over today.

84 year old Cuban woman LOVIN it!!

recently hooked up You Tube to her big screen, said she was going home to watch em all!

YIKES

TY for a wonderful year of tunes.  See you live soon.
