Super Flower Blood Moon

Not a new strain?  Maybe I'm thinking of Blood Moon Super Flower.

plan on putting the girls out then

^I'd smoke it

Yeppers Alarm set .

This is a significantly different event than the  Borat Moon Blood dance.

West coast gets all the good eclipses ...

"...but clouds got in my way."

It's cool

That was pretty cool, and it fit my schedule these days pretty perfectly, as being up at 3:30 - 4:30am is not unusual for me.

As I'm writing this it's just starting to come back, or light up again, or whatever it does. It was kind of spooky when it was in full eclipse, and I read where they said it would look 3-dimensional during that time, and it really did look like a faint round orange ball in the sky.

These deals are often a bit underwhelming for me. I think the trippiest part of the whole thing was thinking of how the experts had the timing of the thing down absolutely perfectly, to the exact minutes it would be happening.

I don't understand science, or all the very smart people who know shit like that.

The other thing that trips me out when these odd celestial things happen is what people hundreds of years ago must have thought about a thing like that. I doubt THEY were underwhelmed. Must of scared the shit out of them.

Anyway, it was pretty cool.

I guess I'll go to bed now.

Have a good viewing tonight left coasters, envious here in the east

Took a bunch of pics w/ my little canon camera, some even came out...  fortunately, the moon came out of the clouds for us!

It occurred fortunately when my insomnia has me awake anyway.  From my deck, It was cool to watch the moon turn dark, all frogs ceased sound.

After darkness, the orange/pink color began, and it was immediately all shown, all round.  Odd, as it took some time later for the eclipse to recover the moon's usual light.

What is cool is how silent everything was during the darkness.  When the orange appeared, birds began chirping, (odd time), and the frogs began again.

Very nice experience.  Makes me want to do a midnight hike on a full moon this summer.

The other thing that trips me out when these odd celestial things happen is what people hundreds of years ago must have thought about a thing like that.

Me too, had to scare the hell out of them!

druba is so rad

Makes me happy with glee to see people had such a cool experience. All I saw at 4:00 amish when I took the dog out looked like a full moon but no super-flower-blood-moon. frown

But I'm on the east coast/
