Grateful Shred; Dan Horne

Forums:

This dude has been on my radar from Circles of the Sun.  He plays bass with Grateful Shred ---a kick ass GD cover band.  What I'm most impressed with is his ear for recording and running and mixing with analog equipment.  His mixes are spot on.

Anyway. Props to Dan and his band(s).

He's got an 'Alembisized' Guild Starfire similar to Phil's '72 Godfather bass. Pretty cool.

I'm holding tix for their show in Felton, very excited to check out the band.

His bass sound and technique to approach GD music is unparalleled.   His understanding of sound equipment in relation to recording is also leagues ahead.  Just giving some kudos.

Nancy -- I think you'll dig it.  They're CA boys and have a great vibe.  The smiling lead player.

Cool video.

A few years back I was able to participate in a band reunion in FL, our bassist brought his Starfire - has kept it all these years.  Good look at it at 2:40.

A typical Dead cover, some clams and I wreck the lyrics a couple times.  Decent little jams tho.

You can PLAY brother.   Sounds great and that is an awesome look at the Starfire.

They suck!

Another GD cover band. Pffft!

Is anyone original anymore!?

Burnouts!

I just can't wait to hear Truckin' again after 50 years.
