Stupid Work Trainings

Forums:

I'm currently in a 3.5 hour Zoom training on recognizing and controlling stress and anxiety. The damn thing is giving me stress and anxiety.

Plus, we all have "Zoom burnout" from being on the damn thing 25+ hours a week, which causes the stress, and now we have to sit here for 3.5 hours.

Dr. weird steve's prescription:  gummies and regular breaks to pee and burn one.

<< Plus, we all have "Zoom burnout" from being on the damn thing 25+ hours a week, which causes the stress.

I hear ya, that's another reason to give this year's graduates big kudos,, for prevailing under the circumstances.

<< and now we have to sit here for 3.5 hours.

Chill man, after 25hrs +,  you should be used to it by now. Coffee, hit off the pipe,, before ya know it, it's cocktail time.

Continuing Ed,, can't get around it.

At least you don't have to wear pants.

I feel like a stupid work trainee...

I've done the crossword and played some golf. I may go shopping in a few.

Yeah, this is worth whining.

I'd take offense to your statement, Jaz, but I'm all zen and shit with my newly learned meditative breathing and Qi Jong. My resting pulse is 12.

^ so was my buddy's before he started turning blue

Ya gotta watch that fuckin zen meditation shit man

They've been cutting Zen with Fentanyl.

Sounds like an east coast thing

Don't get me started on this rant, grrrr!

Just be happy you don't have a micro manager who requires check-in and check-out task lists DAILY,and a longer-range planning list weekly.

I'm getting paid a decent salary to make lists, feels like.

I hope you're putting down a towel at least.

sounds like a good time to smoke a bowl and not give two fucks about it.

hey mike ^^

Brian, I use those breathing techniques a few times a day.yes

12 BPM.

You good , Houdini, good.

Waddup, JR?

Be sure and add to your check in task list:

1. Create list of check in tasks

2. Edit list of check in tasks

3. Add to check in tasks

4 Review list of check in tasks

5. Consult with supervisor about list

6. Chat with HR about need for daily list

7. add to check in tasks

8. begin check out list

9. ponder longer range task list

rinse and repeat

First shift of the year in short pants.

Last night was first shift with ceiling fans running.

10. Create template for longer range task  list

11. email copy of template to co-workers

12. Wonder why the fuck HR cares about or is involved in any such operational tasks (aside from their more typical B.S. tasks)

13. Reply All?

"Reply all" should be banned on organizational emails.

Ban group texts while you're at it, or invent a way to opt out at least.

First time i had a Zoom meeting with the sales dept. in 2020, the video didn't work, but audio was functioning.  Just after the introductions were done, I forgot to hit the mute button and said to a coworker in the room, How hard is it to sell legal weed in an insatiable market?  We need to have a meeting for this shit?  I was later informed of the importance of  "the team" and the mute button,  although that did not answer the first question.

Sounds like Joe works for Chad.

Not anymore, Bss. Went off on my own with a grower friend, just us two. Any meeting now requires a lighter before anything is discussed. ;-)

Much happier....

yes

That's funny, Joe. One of my good friend's Dad used to own/operate a HVAC company and he regularly held "Safety Meetings" under the guise of all-hands smoke fests and to 'clear the air' as it were.
