Anyone here like Goose?

Forums:

They came up in my feed I had heard of them and associate them with Metzger but I guess he’s not always in the band ?? The other guitar player singer is fantastic.

Saw them last year shortly before everything closed down.  Funky music but thought they had some silly moments.

Yeah I guess I am confused this band does not involve Metzger but I do like them.. the keyboard player seems to have silly type songs kind of like phish. I like the guitar.. I would go see them... looks like the Ct. bowl shows are sold out.

I think they've got more soul than that other CT jamband.

Saw them at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz late 2019 opening for Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. Very enjoyable, high energy, don't remember any goofiness. I felt bad for PPPP to have to follow them.

They shared the bill with Pigeons when I saw them too.  One silly part was when they would suddenly stop a song and the whole band would freeze motionless in position for an extended period of time.   Thought it was pointless theatrics and broke up an otherwise great jam.

Caught em at outer space ballroom in Hamden CT

They opened up for Start Making Sense

There were about 6 people inside for the show. After the show I told em to keep it up and that they have something a little different than the other noodle kugel jambands.

Goose does a great job of putting pro-shot soundboards on YouTube.

I like Eggy better

I sure hope your not referring to Max Creek as that other CT jamband like them or not they are CT’s original jam band. Are they from CT. ? I thought they were from NYC but I don’t know much

They remind me of Phish, but I like them anyhow.

>> I sure hope your not referring to Max Creek as that other CT jamband

Nope, I've had good times with the Creek but don't really quantify them amongst that slew of Phish-esque standup stuff.

Think MC may have originated in CT., though. Never thought about it. Mostly caught them up and down the Rhode Island and SE Mass. coast.

My 26 y/o son played a few show vids for me last week when I saw him for the 1st time in a year. Vids were pro shot as mentioned above. Enjoyed the music.

Goose? I like Duck Duck

Yes, going to see them for the first time in June.  They sound phishy to me.

Goose Gossage! Now there was a real closer!

moe dot is a CTband

Though you were talking about Hubinger Street laugh

Moe is from Buffalo then they moved to Albany

Goose Goslin, Phil the Vulture Regan , Ron The Penguin Cey, Hawk Harrelson , Tris the Gray Eagle Speaker ,

Frank The Crow Crosetti , Turkey Mike Donlin, Fred The Chicken Stanley

The fact that the guitarist for Goose doesn't play a Flying V is a huge missed opportunity for The Flock.

The Goose guys can play.  In the vein of Phish, Moe, Biscuits,  even local guys like the Breakfast ------ they come from money.  Money allows a band to keep on the road without working.   Without $ you work shit jobs and play shit gigs until someone that you're contacted with has a bigger contact.  You stay on the road and you get better and cultivate an audience.

Nice NYC show on the youtube from Rockthatfella Center

Thought this was a Recipe thread for Poultry.  I don't believe that I've ever tasted Goose;  however I've had many variations of Duck.

Have heard a few tastes of the Band, "Goose".

They sound like good musicians. Perhaps they will be at Peach Fest this year, if that happens.

Hey hey!

Enjoy Goose and saw them open for PPPP

Valentine's Day at GAMH - liked the Rockefeller stream

think they kinda ripped off the los lonely boys monkey video -tho!!!

We are flying into NYC June 10-14

and friends already have tickets for June 12 show in New Haven CT

I just scored 2 last night!!!

Any Zoners going to be there and want to meet up?!

Except for the fact that it’s animated I don’t hear or see anything similar... I would guess making an animated video is the most affordable option when it comes to making a music video...
