anyone been to Ketchum Idaho ?

Small town

big life

That's Hemingway country as I recall.

Nice little tucked away valley town that is adjacent ski mecca of Sun Valley. A bit north of Hailey, which is where Bruce Willis had/has? an estate. I think it was 2004/2005 I saw Allman Bros there and there was a big blowout encore with Chris Robinson, etc on our way through to go camping near Stanley - where it's still coolish/cold in mid-Summer but has some unreal mountains/hiking to be had.

Did business with several ski equipment outfits there for years. --First went up in 85- skied Sun Valley and hit some of the finer restaurants. -- Last went through 5 years ago . -- Cool place - exxxxpensive. --- Look out for Clint -- (and the Herrimans).

I have had a few really fun weekends there and in Hailey. Beautiful area. I love the Sawtooth mountains just north of there. I think the guy from die hard owned a bar in Hailey. The Mint. Not sure if he still owns it or not.

I helped build those big barrel vault skylights at Jacoby Mall. Walking across an open hole on 2 x 12's on a snowy day 60 feet up carrying large sheets of plastic without a belt. What a dumbass. SMH. Might not still be there. It was almost 40 years ago.

Use to have several mining claims up in the mountains not too far from there (out of Mackay).  Spectacular area!

I have two cousins in Ketchum. One was a bartender and the other a carpenter. The ended up there after following their Mom and Dad to Sun Valley. My uncle was in the Sun Valley orchestra. He also played in smaller groups, played trumpet and bass. I have neat set of devil cuff links a next tie clasp that he wore for performing around Halloween. I also have a fiddle from him that is over 100 years old.

thanx uncle Frank, and if you bought coke from a bartender at a cowboy bar in Ketchum, more than likely it was my cousin Frankie.

Frankie always told me coke will make you feel like a new man every time you do it, but the problem is eventually you have ten new men inside of you all wanting more cocaine

That is something I have never done. My friend did in Montreal and charged it on his credit card and then expensed it. That is doing it right.

Skied Sun Valley ,Backpacked the Sawtooth Range

and attended a Rainbow Gathering in '81 on my way to GD Red Rocks..

Beautiful Country
