Bought 4 Cosmic Crisp Apples today at the Supermarket. Cost over $4

Forums:

Never had one before. Usually buy Granny Smith as I like them tart. These are from Washington State. Was surprised to see apples from the PNW fresh at this time but after a little google it say's that they can last a year or more. https://www.allrecipes.com/article/we-taste-tested-the-new-cosmic-crisp-...

Nice and crisp and a good balanced sweet flavor. I would eat them again but at over a buck an apple I'll wait till I win the lottery!

Just got some myself and felt the same way.  They were huge though.  I think honey crisps are better.

They had honey crisps also. Next trip to the market I'll buy a few to try.

Cosmic crisps did taste like honey though.

If I won the lottery I would buy Cosmic Apples and unshelled pistachios

I'd have a bowl in every room of my trailer

Candy bars are a buck now. Just sayin'.  That apple sounds like a better deal.

Spending money on American grown apples is a fantastic use of your currency.  Applause all around! (applesauce all around?)

Gala or stfu

Bought 4 Honey Crisps today. More than half the price as Cosmic Crisp but smaller. Maybe they're mislabeled because Cosmic tastes more like honey to me and I like them better. Cosmic tastes like no apple I've had before. Honey is more similar to other apples.

Gala

I've become a big fan of Snapdragon Apples, a cross between Honeycrisp and something else.

Just got some Envy's recently - very good

I had some Pacific Rose apples last summer and that's all i look for now.  Dark red and sweet. Possibly the best fresh eating apple I've ever eaten. Honey Crisp is very good. I'll look for Cosmic Crisp and Snapdragon now too, thanks.  And, yes, spending your money on american produce is always a win-win.

I'll generally buy the cheapest organic apples grown in the USA that I can find.

Grateful that Washington Fuji apples are still available right now.
