Dark Side Of The Moon

Forums:

The moon passed between Nasa's Deep Space Climate Observatory and the Earth, allowing the satellite to capture this rare image of the moon's far side in full sunlight. We normally don't see this side of the moon. As the moon is tidally locked to the earth and doesn't rotate, we only ever see the one face from the earth. Awesome shot!

So I guess it isn't all dark after all, as a matter of fact....

Looks more like a fully functional death star to me...   hide!

Cancel Culturists demand Pink Floyd change the name of the album.

Sure looks flat to me.

Looks like the Earth stepped on a piece of space gum.

I'm going to need proof the other side is not dark too.

Thank you in advance for your consideration :)

That is so cool, it remind me of the cover of The Last Whole Earth Catalog minus the moon which if printed today would be titled The Last Whole Earth Catalog and The Dark Side of the Moon.

Thanks for the image.

thank you, very cool

That moon doesn't look well. Doesn't have much color.

Can we shoot some artists up there for a touch up?
