Who's Calling You

Forums:

Car Warranty People , Marriott Hotels ( I've won free nights) Carnival Cruise ( I've won a free cruise)

If you press 2 Marriott and Carnival will put you on a Do Not Call list

they won't stop calling but you'll be on a list

I get at least a couple of spam calls a week for the car warranty thing. It's clear Subaru has sold my info; the good news is that's the only negative experience I've had with that brand.

Car warranty assholes are relentless.

I guess my 17 year-old-truck is probably expired...

I get the warranty people all the time. I really like to keep them on the like for as long as possible. They are robo-calls, Mike, shots in the dark. I got them all the time for my last 2 cars that didn't even have extended warranties.

I also get a lot of the police/fire/veteran's associations, coming from unlisted numbers. I let them give their spiel, and then ask for them to slowly repeat the name and address of their association, so that I can look it up on Charity Navigator. They hang up, every time.

I guess they could be random calls, BK, which makes me feel better about Subaru.

The other spam calls I get regularly use the same exchange (the 3 numbers after the area code) as my phone number. I live in a small town in the mountains, and almost never get calls from folks up here, so those calls go right to spam.

It's an Opportunity to sell 'them' an even better Warranty then what they are dealing.

I offer a 3-year Firewood Warranty, with terms and Conditions,  for a reasonable price.

So far,  no takers, but they never call again.

Rest assured that they are random, Mike.

I get at least two a day, and it went up after I got laid off this summer and had to do a job search which requires your phone number be entered in third party sites that screen resumes for companies and then sell your information.

I get robo calls from Medicare supplement sales (I'm set), extended car warranties (2004 car), MS Windows (I only have apple)... I don't have caller ID on my home (landline) phone so it's become part of my exercise program; the phone rings, I get up and answer it, I hang up.

As you all possibly know I am often an asshole but I do wish the folks good luck in finding a new job as I hang up

Car warranty calls and spoof (same exchange as me) calls that never leave a message.

I get more spam messages than calls.  I either "won" something or my Netflix/PayPal/Verizon/Whatever is being canceled, whether I subscribe to it or not.

the warranty thing is fucked up how everyone gets them now

i miss the phony IRS who I enjoyed torturing during my desk job days

Same here. My number also used to be a business line so I get the "Google listing" people. They'll never stop.

I love when I answer and I hear ringing then someone answers "Hello, and thanks for calling..." even though they actually called me. Pretty psychotic.

Just got a call from Suzie in the vehicle service department about my car's warranty. That's one so far this week.

We get way more spam calls than people we know calls,, but only answer the #'s we know. Spam rarely leaves msgs
