The Pitcairn Islanders are a biracial ethnic group descended mostly from nine Bounty mutineers and a handful of Tahitian captives - as is still apparent from the surnames of many of the islanders. This famous mutiny and its aftermath have been the subject of many books and films. As of January 2020, there were 43 permanent inhabitants.[9]
There is a great book, Fatal Shores about the white peoples discovery of Australia that has a chapter on Pitcairn Island and Mutiny on the Bounty

Had someone in another boat
Had someone in another boat fall overboard at the beginning of Lava Falls in the Grand Canyon. He found his way back into to boat "tout suite". Not one you want to swim probably.
