Stu...NJ guy walking across the planet with his dog

Forums:

So far 18.000 miles in 5 years with his rescue dog Savannah.

I'm surprised rabies vax is the only international requirement, (exception of a quarantine).  Canine influenza could be a problem, it seems. But I'm no vet!

Doesn't the asphalt get a bit hot for the dogs feet? Seems a bit cruel to force a dog to walk around the world on some hot ass road

Hüsky is enjoying all the Snow lately.  He will run about ten miles pulling the mtn. Bike in Winter,  not so far in Warm weather.

I don't take H.I.M. on paved roads.  He's fine on dirt trails or Snow.

Pretty good traction on Ice.

Good Stu, Pat, Pat

Which planet are they walking across?

My pup isn't enjoying the current snow conditions. There's a thick crust of ice on top of deep snow, so he pops through every other step. It cuts up the paws and legs, and can tear an ACL if he's running and goes through.

I agree fabes. And 24 miles a day. Seems kinda rough on the little fellow. But maybe he likes it.

Uranus Mikey.

Maybe he does it just to get food and water, and knows no different life, like the life of a luxurious sled dog with a real owner that loves HIM.
