Who got hit by the blizzard?

Forums:

Over 2 feet here. Sucks because was supposed to get a delivery of heating oil and they're not coming till who knows when. Will probably run out today.. Will have to make a run to get some diesel if possible.

Be safe, Doolittle.  Only an inch or so here at the shore.

We got a pretty good dump here in the Finger Lakes, schools closed.

Capt. Obvious reporting from Florida, but it's windy and friggin' cold here by our standards.

Where do you live Doolittle? I've had oil in the past, and it can be a pain- good luck with the guy showing up soon.

North Central NJ. Saw that the next town over got 30' so we must have the same. Might get an extra 3' says the NYC news. Don't remember the last time we got that much in one dumping. 40-50 mph winds yesterday. Lucky yhe power didn't go out!

We got our ass kicked.

Looks like Punxsutawney Phil predicted 6 more weeks of winter..That SUCKS!!!!!

Damn Doolittle, that's a shit ton of snow.   Are you still thinking about heading south to warmer climates?

And obviously meant 30" not 30'.

Sometime Ken. But with the new stains of Covid and other shit I've been putting it off for now. Just don't feel it's the right time right now.

That's a super-freaky shot from your backyard, Doolittle. I mean effen whoa!

Good snow amount there Doolittle.

Parts of Tahoe got six FEET of powder the other day.

We got about an inch of rain.

Yeah Local it's nothing compared to what some people get. Especially out west but it's a big deal here. I remember when I  lived in Cali and they got 6 feet up at Big Bear Lake.

Yup, 30 inches is nothing to sneeze at, no matter what.

I hope you guys don't freeze.

18" everywhere, over 3 ' drifts in half the yard.

Back shot, arms jello, ass kicked.

Thanks Lord for not depositing me in a snow bank.

22 inches here on the 203 coastline. Good thing I made a last second trip to the vino store just before closing on Sunday evening. Smah't move on my pah't.

We got a shit-ton.  We're on a dead end so it always looks worse here.  I can see blacktop on the county road visible from the kitchen, but that doesn't mean the local streets are clear.  We'll have a huge pile of snow in the parking lot around the corner.  Until April.

HEY!.....how 'bout aiming that space laser over here on my driveway? Save me from shovlin.

Cold here in the sticks of central fla, got down to 38 last night

We got a good amount in Chicagoland.
Good for the young entrepreneurs.

Got 8 gallons of diesel. Put in half now . Half tomorrow. Walking in snow up to my knees can wait for the other half tomorrow. Will hopefully last until the delivery guy comes. I hope he doesn't deliver it to the wrong house. About 3 miles down the end of my road is the same house number but different town. Many a time a pizza delivery came here for the other house. Plus the house numbers on the mailbox post are covered in snow. Hope he calls first.

^ That all sounds a bit harrowing in these temps, Doc.

You might wanna give 'em a reminder buzz tomorrow A.M. That's me...

No snow but it was 34 when I go up this am with a breezy wind chill of 25

Yonkers that is cold

I guess I should buy stock in Oranges like in Trading Places.

 WTF brother doolittle ??

If we can collect money for trees for a passed sister, we can collect for a freezing living brother.

I'm not checked out on go fund me stuff, but if someone starts one, I will gladly contribute.

Maybe we can start an Emergency Zoner go fund me Fund for just such situations.

I nominate Ken to facilitate, and he can lawyer eye watch the funds for us.

It was a joke Rasmataz.  Sorry you didn't get it or see the movie.

And what does it have to do with Tim or anybody here. Are they in the Orange juice business?

Don't get it!

Don't know about Tim or juice.

You buying only 8 gallons of heating fuel in the dead of winter is what I'm responding to.  Was that a joke ?

Or do you just need to get your lazy unmotivated ass outside and shovel a path for the delivery guy ?

8 gallons will last 2 days. No point in buying more for now as I expect him to come soon and I already paid for it by CC.. As far as shoveling a path I don't see that as my problem. But there is a walking path that I made yesterday by stomping down the snow. The side of the house and near the tank is windblown so there is just a few inches of snow. 40=50 mph winds will do that. Even with 30 inches of snow.

Just waiting for them to get here finally!

32" here in the Poconos - quite the shit shoe

Wow MikePA!  I thought my area got the brunt of the storm.

Is Shawnee Mountain  or Camelback open? I doubt it. Been there a few times.

7 am and the entire neighborhood has a coat of ice

Brrrrrrrrrrr

Well alright then. Just don't want to see anyone without heat in the winter.

The guy just delivered the oil so I'm set for now. Thanks for the concern Ras!

Tim now you can go ice fishing!
