He;was a kitten in 2007 when found so has to at least 13 now. Might just be an infection as the Doc said or worse like a tumor behind his eye. Or kidney failure. Either way he is a gem by the way he was treated. Not going to brag on it!!

Get well sweet kitty!

Thank's Dise. Took him today to the doc and he seems better for now. He hadn't eaten for 2 days. The doc gave me some food that he said most cats like and he has eaten almost it all. Still have antibiotics to give him, but so far so good. He has a long NJ story! And we all love him! He's a special kitty!

Monday is his next Doc appointment.

Dammm so sorry to hear that,, heck of a good lookin buddy. No worries, looks like he's got 6 or 7 more lives to go.

A can of tunafish works wonders.

Best to you both.

Don't worry folks. Liberty is a badass and has a heart of gold!

Keep me purring for a heart of gold

That brutal pet window we all face at some point... God bless and send peace to Liberty and Doolittle.

Cat vibes to you.

((( kitteh vibes )))

Vibes for your friend.  I lost my cat 2 weeks ago to a tumor that pushed down and her eye and then started to constrict her breathing.  Do the right thing when the time comes!

Sorry, Fitz.  We lost Lucy to an eye tumor.

Stay toough, Liberty!

Sorry, Fitz.

I know it's the circle of life and all that, but that doesn't make it easier.

Love to all.

Well went to the vet today and still no definitive answer. The Doc said he's still sick but his swelling is down and he has a lot more life in him compared to before and his eyes are wide open now not like before.. He's eating and peeing and did his first doodie in 2 days today. Has another appointment Saturday. So far so good! Only problem is giving him his liquid antibiotics.  he won't let you..

And there was no charge for today. Paid $162 on Sunday.

Doolittle, these are positive signs!
Hugs to (((((Liberty)))) from a fellow cat owner.

Yeah I already thought of the mummy method. Didn't try it yet. Tomorrow. Funny how the vet has no problem doing it as I gave him my drops today and he said he was fine with doing it. It must be he's scared of a stranger and timid because of it. But if I try, NO WAY! Same with cutting his nails.

My cat always made me look like a bad pet owner at the vet. Everything I told the vet the cat wouldn't let me do she let the vet do no problem right in front of me. I have no way of knowing but I'm sure the cat thinks it's funny.

Good luck with Kitteh Liberty.

Hope S/He gets better and Feels Good.

I always took great care of my Pet Kittehs,  but they just drop Dead,  despite Fine Food & Shelter.
Meanwhile, Barn Kats survive for 16 years with "Little Friskies"  and minimal care.

Zeebah the Manx kitteh used to enjoy a Taste of rare Ahi Tuna, His favorite Snack.

Newark street cats are the toughest!

Cats mending and thinking about you trying to give it liquid meds.

He's plotting some revenge when he is 100%....so keep yourself alert, it will be swift and soon.

I can feel it.

Love and Vibes to Liberty!

Tim he was a badass before he was fixed. Now he's a PUSSY cat!

Today gave him some medicine with struggles. Only once. He has eaten hardly anything today. sigh. Gave him 3 different foods and treats but little eaten. He seems ok energy wise, but a little less energy than yesterday. But he's always had day's where he doesn't eat a lot so ,maybe it's just one of those day's. He's still adamant about taking his medicine. Wrapped him like a mummy but still was hard to get it in him. I almost gave up. He's a stubborn bastard! Don't know if I can wait till Saturday to give his medicine 2 times a day. He just won't let us!

Well went to the vet this morning and Liberty gained 1/2 a pound and the doc said he's better. Didn't charge anything. Even cut his nails. Sure looking like an infection at this point but have an appointment in a week. Finally been able to give him his antibiotics using the mummy method. Since he hasn't done any blood work or x-ray yet as he didn't recommend it for now, it's still not a given that it's just an infection. Fingers crossed. But he's seems more or less like the old Liberty. Even playing around with the dog today. So far so good!

That's good news.   Hope he continues to get better.   Mummy method?   Is that where you wrap the cat up in towel and stick the dropper in his mouth?

Yes Ken! My words for the method. Kinda appropriate don't ya think.

Seems Liberty is in the clear. Was just an infection of the eye. Hallelujah! May he terrorize the dog for many years more!

Yay, good news for Liberty.

My cat, Daphne, sends a congratulatory meow.

Does Liberty like to be rubbed lightly between the eyes on the bridge of nose?

Daphne blisses out when I do that... hopefully all cats do.

good news for liberty!

@LLOLLO  Liberty loves all attention. Especially the head. He's always scratching his head on the corner of something. He love's when I hold him in my arms upside down and rub his tummy and head at the same time. He goes into a trance.
