The 50th Anniversary Criterion edition has outtake performances by Moby Grape, Steve Miller Band, and, yes, finally: The Grateful Dead.
They've been reissuing and remastering Monterey film and outtake footage since 2002, with the first bluray edition in 2009, and then again, as mentioned, in 2017.

Would have loved to hear Mama Cass sit in with the Dead during a version of Dancin' in the Streets. She was great!
