Lawsuit is alleging
The lawsuit is alleging defamation against the news outlets for running stories about how the Dominion voting machines are easily manipulated, but the defendants could raise the defense of "parody." Under the law, parody and satire are considered protected speech under the 1st Amendment. It's how Hustler magazine successfully defended a defamation lawsuit brought by Jerry Falwell over some scandalous story the magazine had run about the televangelist having sex with his mom in an outhouse.
To use parody as a defense, the defendant must show that the defamatory statement at issue is so ridiculous that the average person could not believe it.
Sounds like the perfect defense in this case.

Suggest it all you want. Everyone recognizes that it probably started in China, and that their government covered it up for a few months. I don't think anyone would debate human rights violations in China. However, offer some proof.
