Making Martins

^

Thanks for that article.  I've not been out to Nazareth since about 1990,  when they were still working out of the "Old" factory.

They used to have annual Factory sales there and luthiers would come from all over to find bargains.

A local fellow was next to me in line and had a good Beer buzz going at 9 AM.  He found some squares and rectangles of various tonewood and thought they would make great Drawer bottoms and such.  However,  he was shocked at the price upon checkout and abandoned the stack.  I really can't remember if he had Sitka Spruce or Mahogany or Rosewood.

I found a 000-28 back in a crate of Wood which had an un-laquered back (a couple small defects) and took it home for a great price. Still have it and it's really a Nice instrument.
