Ticketmaster has been working on a framework for post-pandemic fan safety that uses smart phones to verify fans' vaccination status or whether they've tested negative for the coronavirus within a 24 to 72 hour window.

Vaccines have been required for admittance into schools and colleges for as long as I can remember, so its not a novel concept.

Given the particular circumstances I'd say that the ONLY way attendance to live events can begin again is with some type of assurance that people have dealt with the particular circumstance.
This isn't about tracking or control or Big Brother, it's about public safety.
Just go read Tim's "I'm Back" thread. Does anyone want to risk going through what that guy is dealing with just because you want to see a show or go to a ballgame but NO WAY the damned gov'ment or fucking TicketBastard is going to track ME!!!!
I for one really want to get back to events and be around people again without dire (and real) concerns for my health & life. If that means I have to show a document verifying that I have been vaccinated that's fine with me. If you don't want to get vaccinated fine, that will be your choice, but no public events for you, and that's fine with me too.
It's the only way a fast-dying industry is going to get back on it's feet. I don't think the live event industry can survive a second full year of total shutdown, and beyond the fun of being able to go to a show or a game again, many thousands of people's livelihoods are at stake.
Who fucking cares if you have to show proof of vaccination or a test to reasonably assure that it's safe to be among thousands of other people in a confined space?
It's just the reality of the situation, folks. No one is trying to control you.
