The whole "who's playing what" breakdown on Box is pretty cool. The studio version always had a "square-peg" quality to it. Now I know why.
The part about (paraphrasing) how it can all be played with open chords on an acoustic guitar, "but try remembering it" cracked me up. That was exactly my experience.
The breakdown of the harmony tracks is fun; especially Phil's "three-fer" swap-out. That particular moment in the song also had a weirdness to it that I was never able to put together until now.
Good stuff. The first season is worth catching up on. All the Workingman's tracks, plus a bonus Bluegrass Jerry episode. From burnouts to scholars, there are some interesting insights.

Liked the Workingman's Dead
Liked the Workingman's Dead episodes and just finished the first episode on American Beauty on Box of Rain and thought it was excellent.
