My apologies to anyone upset over my typo. Since Turtle noticed it a bit over 12 hours from when I posted. I missed the 5 minute edit deadline. I have no doubt that Justin would have gotten a laugh out of it.
He inherited his dad's addictive personality disorder, but in interviews had stated that he had left his heavy drinking and drug use behind when he embarked on his solo career (around 2007). There hasn't been any word on the cause of death, so it's really all speculation at this point. Whatever the cause, to die that young is tragic.
I liked the one set I heard. I don't need to ever hear the title track of Harlem River Blues again, thanks to FUV flogging it to death, but the guy could write a song.
Damn, Steve Earle's been through some shit. This must be the worst.
Looks like he relapsed. If usage was legalized and we had safe injection sites, Justin and countless thousands of others would have a good chance of being alive. It's past time to decriminalize all drug use and to treat it as a public health care issue.

I'm not familiar with him, but dead at 38 leads me to wonder OD or suicide.
Was he a tortured artist?

RIP and vibes to his family.
RIP and vibes to his family. I can't imagine what they are going through.
Ironic that he was named after one of the most self destructive substance abusers in all of country music.

One could say TWO of the most destructive substance abusers. Steve Earle was no slouch in that game either.
