It's JORMAday, #19

Forums:

Jorma (and the rest of the crew) spreading the joy again tonight, live at 5 (pdt).
It feels to me like they open a place in our hearts to connect with hope.
Thinking of all of our friends in the smoke and fires in California and wherever there are threats to peace and safety. We're with you. ❤️

And remember you can listen later at the same link and the Fur Peace Ranch Youtube channel has them all archived, including the 3 acoustic Hot Tuna shows when Jack was there, too.

I just received my FP face masks from the company store. Great shape and quality and came with a filter pad. The logo is small, which I like and it's a small way to say thanks for all the great free music.

With your description I'll take a look at the masks again. I've been wearing masks made by friends and relatives, I might like a FP one, too.

Earlier in the week I put a request in to Hurl for a potential 19th Amendment 100th anniversary tribute tonight.

He passed it on to Vanessa. (We have hopes for her to sit in with something special. No promises.) <3

Thanks for starting the thread!

Wish I'd of noticed those Quarantine posters earlier. Sold out.

Looks like the masks are also, Judit.

I'll check back on the masks, thank you.

That dobro! I guess I should say that Jorma on that dobro.

Jorma read this poem during tonight’s concert. I love it.

Prayer flags
Battle flags
No difference to the wind

Thanks for posting that. I liked it too.

Nice thread.

So glad Jorma is happy and healthy.

Stay safe, stay strong.

Cheers.

Does anyone know who wrote the poem? I'm asking around.

Thanks for the link to the Tom Hobson website. Very interesting guy, as were a number of his friends and family.

I believe the book he read from was "Words to Light Eternity" by Charlie Mehrhoff.

The Pat Donohue song "Home Bound" was quite funny, and his playing on the Blind Blake song was astounding.

Thanks for the book info. And yes, Pat Donohue was great.

Pat Donahue is badass.  I'm glad the bulk of Prairie Home Companion 'casts is archived.
