Air Fryer Project -- Potatoes.

Forums:

So I got the "Air-Fryer-Oven"  at the BBB a while back.  Couldn't resist;  it was on Hyperr - Mega Clearance.

30 - day return period,  just in case.

Figured it was damaged goods,  and carefully tested that appliance in a Fire-Proof environment over time.

After a few trial runs to expunge the Chinese manufacturing chemicals,  I heated up a Frozen Cheese Steak stub.

The appliance performed that task,  and did not catch on fire.

Why not try a Pork Loin in the rotisserie Cage ??  It worked Fine...

Potatoes --

Several experiments so far with Yukon Gold and Red Potato.

First,  you wash the Potato,  slice and soak in Cold Water for an hour.

Hmm...I wonder what Stu will have to say about this.

My son in college.....every 3 words is Air Fryer or Instapot

Wife and I recently picked up an air fryer. Been doing a lot of cool things with it. Pork chops and homemade chicken tenders my favorites so far

Yukon Gold --

"Steak Fry"  sized slices;  soak in cold Water about one hour.
430 Degrees for 23-24 minutes in Rotisserie cage,  let cool.

Pat down the cold slices on Organic paper towel prior to the Fryer,  mild seasoning and thin film of Vegetable oil.

Three attempts,  and those guidelines were the best yet.

Red Spuds were on a different timeline...  not dialed in quite yet.

We got the NuWave air fryer last winter. It heats up quickly and really encloses the heat. However, we needed a new toaster oven, so I just got the Cuisinart Convection Toaster, and have the NuWave to a friend. After all, an air fryer is just a convection oven. It's not as efficient, but better suits our needs and space requirements.

"...NuWave air fryer..."

Name reminds me of Gary Numan and Tubeway Army

My device has some other cheesy name -- GoWiseUSA,  spelled like that.

But I like the rotisserie function and it has an interior light, so you can watch the Fries / Coho / Tofu turn Brown.

Better than the Nixon - Reagan debates and you get Snacks.

So the Red Potatoes (they actually have  Pink skins,  white / beige inside) don't Air - Fry like Yukon Golds.

Yet they are one of my favorites to Grow and Eat.

Delicate and taste like Veneer... Potato's not here.

How can I explain ?

Number 6 cracks me up with his witty commentary.  Wait until I show you the Col. Bernie Sanders tattoo I got on my left Buttock !!

It's all dichroic ink,  so depending on the light,  Bernie looks like Chairman Mao or actual Col. Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame.

The Lady at the Ceramics Library thinks it is Nifty.

Trying some Ribs tonight -- dry rub and 360 for 28 minutes.  No expectations of anything compared to actual Smoker,  but perhaps they'll be edible.

Can't be any worse than "AppleBee's" or "TuesdayMcGIF".
