^ Gosh I sure miss K-Mart and their cheap Wrangler denims.
Actually don't miss K-Mart in general, except for the low-budget Wrangler denims and the 'Type Z' or whatever oddball transmission fluid that only they sold under 10 bucks per quart.
The Wrangler and Lee brands are the only pants that fit my skinny ass, and don't dissolve after the second Washing machine run.
Last fall they knocked down a perfectly good building that was formerly a sears store anchoring one end of the mall and started work replacing it with a new "dillards"
just about all work has stopped on the new building
While I am not really a fan of Amazon's labor standards, fierce anti-union stance, and other strong-arm practices while claiming poor little small business status, the empty mall and dept store properties could be yet another miracle once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for it to really take over that sector (click & ship) and make even more money.

I saw a person standing on the corner with a sign stating 70% off everything at JC Penney. Sure there are deals but wasn't tempted.
Times are a changing.

There is abandoned K-Mart on the way to Dog Park, but lately I've seen construction crews messing around there.
No idea if it's Amazon biz or what ? But someone's paying them to work on that 1970's - era building.
