I read somewhere that these car services are increasing traffic especially in San Francisco & the bay area.

 

Yep, that deception and creating more traffic are not good things.

Two- count 'em TWO Uber drivers in a row left me stranded on New Year's Eve in the east bay.. both cancelled the ride after 15 min or so of me waiting out in front of the fox in Oakland.. finally after the 2nd one I flagged a taxi.

my general feeling was "fuck Uber" after that.

plus they charge you $5 cancellation fee.. even if it was their driver who cancelled- not joking.
