I wore the tape thin, particularly set II, back in the day when Sony Walkman roamed the earth.

Great Prankster Space at this
Great Prankster Space at this show. This is the one where someone hilariously says to Bobby, "Whooooo fucked up? Who fucked up? Was it you? Did you do that fucking up?"
I too played the 2nd Set regularly. I liked all those 1985 Crypticals.

Add my name to the list of those whom wore that tape out...but I simply got another one from a trader friend.
I kind of miss those Maxell days but still have/play plenty of them regularly. Love that sound alongside the array of quality, from rough AUD up to crystal clear SBD. Old school GD!

I wasn't at this one, but I caught a few on this tour, and yeah, those 85 Crypticals were a treat.

I missed my chance to see Cryptical and Comes A Time.
My friend was body surfing downhill on the lawn during Smokestack.
We did get a Daytripper the next day at Blossom!

....I was always well under the presumption that there a good many actual Day Trippers on that tour....it was a few before my show times but the recordings surely reek of that.

^ DeadBase shows four "Day Tripper" in 1985 and I caught the one in Portland ME 3-31-1985.
Yet somehow I have a false memory of seeing it in Syracuse NY. Some other Beatle tune.
Checking back I see "Revolution" 9 times between 1983- 1985 and a couple in 1990.

This is one of my favorite
This is one of my favorite venues and I saw quite a few shows there over my teen years. Maybe an Allmans, Little Feat and Weir Wasserman. There was a great little area in the woods that was framed by a stone wall down by the river. We would go hang out there before every show and enjoy watching the river roll.

Riverbend '85.
Riverbend '85.
My friend got this 8X10 and the negative (which I now have, RIP Sanjay), from someone and had it blown up to about 4 feet by 3 feet. It was pretty cool.
I also have loved this show since '85, the Loser->Let It Grow is on point and of course the Cryptical and the wild Drums->Space and Comes A Time are top notch.
I could only go to Saratoga on that tour but that was a scorcher also. I went to Riverbend in '86 and it was electric, (even though it was '86 and not '85).
Note that Billy and Mickey are wearing matching Minuteman T-shirts.
And yes, you know you are hard by Kentucky when you're down there.

Odd show time in '85 at 6:30,
Odd show time in '85 at 6:30, and "Gates Open At Noon" in '86. We were staying in a classic old rundown motel, I think walking distance to the venue. Completely taken over by heads, and the owners were smart enough to let a bunch of people also camp on the grounds. A classic all night party after a strong, fun show. One for the ages, saw zero cops, no hassles.

I saw the last 5 shows of this tour, SPAC, Hershey Park, Merriweather x 2, and the Pittsburgh Civic. The next Summer I did the whole tour, but it wasn't as strong as 1985. Riverbend was about as good as it got, and compared to '85, it was just okay. Jerry's health was deteriorating. His coma happened right after this tour ended. It was a pretty dark period to me too, and the hiatus made me reevaluate my priorities and make an effort to live a healthier and more productive life.

Attended both the 85 and 86 shows,
The Ship Of Fools from 86 was pretty cool,
As the band was playing,
a big boat cruised behind the band..
followed by a hot Smokestack Lightning
Good times...
