Happy Father's Day to all the dads. Especially the responsible ones. Anyone can be a father. Good dads are really special and needed.
Mine's gone now. Died the day after his 94th birthday in a nursing home. I did get to spend his dad on Earth with him, holding his hand and talking to him. Got 15 seconds of open eyes in the afternoon.
Thought "poor guy, this face is the last one he'll see." LOL
I sometimes mark Hallmark Holidays by digging out family photos to reconnect.
My adventurous dad influenced and encouraged my mostly-solo travel habit and a serious work ethic...found some really old pics of him as a young dude, likely shot in Marseille at the end of WWII, and my avi at the moto races near Barcelona. He moved us to rural Oregon from SF in late 1967 as "things were getting crazy in the city"---- which always made me wonder what he did after work. ;)

My wife and daughter waited 90 minutes in 90 degree heat for some local BBQ and quality sides.
I am truly blessed!
