Norton was fabulous--all those early Steve Miller records. I really got turned onto him when the R&B CD he did with Roy Rodgers came out in the early 1990s--saw him blow the harp many times. RIP. And yes, Jagger is very under-rated--he can play with the best of them. Anytime I hear Mick blow harp on a stones tune, it tends to be killer
Magic Dick is awesome. After the first 3 J, Giles albums, I kind of lost interest--there is enough in those first 3. However, I have all of Peter Wolf's solo stuff and in the 80s and early 90s, I used to see Giles and Magic Dick all the time at the long-gone Sit n Bull pub in Maynard, MA. He too doesn't get all the respect he should IMHO
Met him and J Geils during their Bluestime days at the Red Door. They signed a nice band glossy photo for me which I promptly spilled a beer on. Signatures are still there just a bit foggy. Great nite great music great stuff.
Overall it's not my favorite instrument, but it's always been amazing to me how different players can get such different, defining sounds from from such a little thing that almost seems (and sounds) like a kid's toy.
A guy like Toots Thielemans was an amazing player and had a totally unique sound, but it was too much for me.
Magic Dick was one I really liked. Mickey Raphael is real good and has a unique sound that's instantly recognizable. Stevie Wonder has a sound of his own, and I actually like Neil Young's playing as well.

Always thought Pigpen was under-rated on harp - he's actually quite brilliant himself.

Though he has no real chops
Though he has no real chops to speak of on harp, I really like it when Mr. Dylan plays the harmonica.
