respect gratitude and honor

thanks fo the thread - drove by a military cemetery today - big pause and silent nod of respect!

This year I'm remembering those Revolutionary Army soldiers who fought to keep our airports open...

Bump for the unselfish

People are being asked to pause for a minute at 3 PM today, wherever you are, to remember.

Steve Hartman (he's so great) had a story the other day asking folks to play Taps at 3. I'll be filming my neighbor.

He's all warmed up as now he plays a tune after our daily 7:00 neighborhood tribute to health care workers.

^^^WALSTIB, that's a great line......

Today, I honor the memory of the Grandfather I never met. Lt. Cmdr. C.N. Street, highly decorated Naval Aviator. I thank him for his service on this day and hope that the pride my family feels at having made this great a sacrifice will somehow compensate for the great loss we have borne. September 16 was always bittersweet for Grandma - it was the day after her birthday.61559419_10216724171630576_517526649881755648_o.jpg

I shed a tear with you redneck

condolences for your great loss

Wow Redneck, that telegram. Powerful. Thank you for sharing it ...and my condolences for you and your family's loss.

Flag up front of house, flag up back of house.

Tended flags all day for wind.

Neighbors in the middle of tear down house mcmansion surburbia?

One flag in sight out of over a dozen houses, not even bothering walking down the block.

Woken by leaf blower at 8:30 by neighbor's workers putting down mulch.

Another neighbor had leaf blowers during the peak.

So much, so a person walking down street with mask had to turn away.

Very important to have a well coiffed lawn during a national emergency.

I hear a leaf blower, mower, saw or hammering seven days a week.

Gatta hump that economy and all.
