Live at Buckeye Lake on 6/11/1993

8:00 pm EDT / 5:00 pm PDT

Who’s ready for an all out ’90s get down this week? Grateful Dead scribe Jesse Jarnow will be hangin’ with hosts David Lemieux and Gary Lambert for the live pre-show starting at 8pm ET / 5pm PT before the debut of the previously unreleased “Live At Buckeye Lake” 6/11/93.

Curious choice but I'm excited none the less.   Was front row for a bit of the first set until me and my buddy had to pee.   There was no getting back in that mess and no interest in my part in doing so.

I was there in '88 and '91 and it was so crowded I made a point of leaving before the encore.  My friends who stayed didn't get back to the motel until two hours after we did each time.

Nice show in '91. Yes lots of people. Seemed like 60,000+.

93. Was in a much better place on the planet than a Dead show with my daughter who was 3 months old. Glad I missed Jerry's and the scene's pathetic demise while having much more fun exploring the planet and it's peoples!

Was there in 94.  The traffic was so bad getting out that a lot of people just gave up and camped there over night.   We took one look at the line of traffic from a hilltop and pitched a tent right there in the lot.  Also saw the very worst porto-john I have every seen at a show that night.

YUK - post Brent generally sucks, Vince was horrible

I skipped the first half of this tour then jumped on from Louisville to the end at RFK, so I'm looking forward to checking this one out.

They should do a three pack release of the proshot video for the Deer Creek 93 run imo

Soon come.  Find it on YouTube, search for "shakedown stream "

I saw my longest consecutive show run on this tour. (Life situation allowed some extended time off). I missed the Giants shows, but I saw the next 13 up to RFK. Agreed, post Brent did lack, but 93 was better to my ears than 92 or 94.

By the time Buckeye Lake happened, I was in tune with the song flow and called 75% of songs much to my friend's amazement!

Ugh - these graphics

Mickey is wearing shorts that say CORONA!!!

Was that the "Easter Egg"?
What did I win if so?

Thanks to Laurie!

I like the graphics.

I only missed Chicago this tour.

Watched some ot it and was impressed. I guess they had some moments in the later stages.

I've been enjoying this as background music, with a check on the visuals every once in a while.

I left in '92, so I haven't been much interested in listening to GD shows after my last one.

I have mixed feelings about not catching more GD before it was too late, but I enjoyed a lot of other experiences instead.

Really diggin' the Black Peter!

I left this show when black peter started to get back to the car to vend..we were up by the soundboard so it was a long walk but I could hear how good black peter was and sugar mags was a rager I remember getting to the top near the exit and looking back at the stage and huge scene..and thinking damn they are really jamming this sugar mags. Then the Brokedown as we walked away. That was the earliest I left a show but I was selling grilled cheese to fund the shows I saw that summer.

The Black Peter was better In deer creek (6-21)..and at the end of the tour they played a really rippin version og sugar Mags at RFK i stuck around for that seemed to go on and on..but I had to wait until the last night of the Boston run, the final show of fall tour (9-30) to get the Brokedown

Right on!  Was expecting nothing cuz its '93 but that was a killer show!! Jerry and Brent were locked & loaded!  Black Peter was sick. Haven't said this many times, if ever but, Vince ripped on the BP.

Good stuff!!

Brent.... DOH!!!  Meant to say Jerry & Vince!!  Ha!

I wil admit this show was good - very sublime first set with a heavy traveling theme and second set was as good as it can get

So they apparently took the Video down.

I remember when it was called Legend Valley and they would have all day multi headliner shows. I remember the ticket booths you had to go thru had hay bails all around it. Bad idea, towards the end of the night someone lit it up, huge fire. It only rock n roll

We always called it bugeye lake.

I think my last Buckeye Lake show was in 1991, but this one really stands up. Black Peter rips!
