i would like an answer to that too. in particular how can the greek theater of all places still be selling tickets? the university is going down with that ship and hasn't pulled the plug?
now purely speculative i wonder if it's an insurance or contract issue, like say since bob is old maybe if he cancels he pays something and if the promoter bails bob has it written in that he always gets paid.
and frankly with what we think we know about bob, he doesn't leave money on the table or let people off the hook. i would not be shocked to learn it's a game of chicken over money.
anyone have actual insights?
he's been running around the world for 60yrs warning about hard rains and slow trains. the bill came due. sure would be some show.
>>>>now purely speculative i wonder if it's an insurance or contract issue,
Probably. Nobody wants to be the first to pull the plug and being the one accused of causing the loss.
I still have tickets for two shows in June that have not been canceled yet - Hall and Oates at the Rose Garden Arena and Tanya Tucker at the Crystal Ballroom. Don't expect either one to happen, but I guess we will have to see.
In the interest of public health and safety and after many attempts to try and reschedule these shows for a workable timeframe this year, it is with deep regret that we announce the US Bob Dylan shows originally scheduled for June/July are canceled. We hope to be back out on the road at the earliest possible time once we are confident that it is safe for both fans and concert staff.

Both Northwest String Summit and Pickathon formally announced in the past 24 hours that they were postponing the shows until next year. They are practically begging people not to ask for refunds and to instead hang on to them until next year or donate them, which suggests they don't have the liquidity to honor a lot refund requests.

As Bob has said, "It's not never ending, it stops, it starts."
Just going to be a bit longer than usual to start again this time around.
It will be the first year since 1985 with no Dylan tour.
