At times I wish I did not read the news. However, It seems to me like we are in unprecedented times, and that society is at great risk and devolving. We are living in CRAZY unprecedented times being led by an uncouth, possibly senile and definitely an amoral self serving racist that probobly hates or at a minimum disrespects women
and I do debate if I should post news / articles / thoughts, or not post them. I do avoid / resist posting many times / (hard to believe I know) I also choose to be angry at all the idiots that support the ruining of my country: the rule of law, civility, the constitution, and our values and all I have been taught There is more to life than money (-and money At all / any costs) and yes i am asked to not rant/ complaining my home
a great threat exists and I do believe that our ruling executive branch is truly evil, and the followers stooges who make great sacrifices putting up with the shit show and insane jittering / lying / make believe for small gains in "philosophy"
I do strive for sanity / relief by spend seven hours on my yard and house projects . And yes, do need more other art immersion. FYI I can't do online music/ concerts to date but expect i will succumb to some of the bits n bytes soon, I do fortunately have a family that is a huge focus of who I am. I should do some volunteer work or help others, and perhaps start a new career / learn / evolve

The gain from the standpoint of the right, in my opinion, is impacting the courts to move them to the right For that many people are willing to put up with a lot of insanity and injustice and loss of respect as global citizens for that effort and gain alone

Yes, at least its an honest statement. It also underscores an issue LLTD raises about news media overload. Trump and Co. have a real knack for saying stupid, offensive, and outrageous stuff and it gets people understandably all riled up. But its just noise. What really matters is not so much what Trump and Co. say, but instead what they actually do, like stacking the courts with conservative, unqualified judges and gutting environmental and consumer protection regulations. Getting people all bent out of shape with the stupid tweet du jour simply distracts from what is happening. Just tune that shit out and focus on what is really important.
