Rosie & Richmond-Osprey Cam

1st two chicks have hatched. The 3rd egg will probably hatch today for Mother's Day.

This is the 3rd year these two Osprey have reared chicks under the webcam's watchful eye.

Thanks. I had enjoyed checking in on the bald eagle in from a few months ago. Too bad those eggs didn't work out. 

It's great that they are awake and living, and I really like the camera showing the surroundings.

In recent years I crossed the Richmond Bridge as I commuted between Berkeley and my mom in San Rafael and was able to see a nest on a pole in the Bay very close to the bridge on the Richmond side. It was fun, then last year, the last year I would have seen it, it had been removed and wasn't rebuilt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hi the Osprey nest in my front yard has yet to lay their eggs.  Althea & Jim ... Just watched Jim bring a Fish he left  half with her in the nest then flew off with the other half to a nearby Redwood tree ate his half. Not suer could be Eggs in the nest.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here is an Osprey nest with two chicks and their parents out on the dock at Laguna de Ojo Liebre down in Baja back in March:

The osprey had much better luck fishing that day than I did:

The local osprey hovered over me while I was fixing my fence...

Now that I watch the cam maybe Althea may be close to having her Babies as well. I saw Her and Jim having Sex on May 6 so I assumed .... The eggs wernt ther yet.
