Dang. Last time I saw gas prices like that was back in the late 1980s. Using the handy dandy inflation calculator, that would be just 67 cents a gallon in 1989 dollars.
Air fares which are driven in large part by fuel prices must be bargain basement now. But as they say, all dressed up and nowhere to go.
There are some nice places in Georgia, like the islands north of Brunswick up to Savannah, but think I will pass for now, although I do need a haircut and beard trim.
