A new word I learned today. My understanding is that Astroturfing is when a protest is made to look like a grass roots movement but a puppet master is pulling the strings by organizing it to begin with.
Take the protests that popped up very quickly around the country. They are rumored to be Astroturfed so Trump can say give the people what they want. Notice that most of the protesters are MAGA types. If it were just an economic protest it wouldn't look so MAGAy.

The term seems quite appropriate.
The instigator of the rally yesterday in Salt Lake City was a former Salt Lake City cop who was fired and who lives 300 miles away in St. George. Ammon Bundy, always ready for a camera, came down from Idaho. No idea if he was paid. And I'm not sure of his background in epidemiology. The cop didn't have one.
The instigator claimed he wanted to fill Salt Lake with people buying take-out from local restaurants, and to highlight the effects of possible suicides due to the economic and psychological effects of the restrictions in place. He said they could cost lives! So, as a solution, 800-1,000 people gathered and did not practice social distancing. I guess that's the Patriot Actor's way of saying FU to the gubmit.
It'll be interesting to see if we get a spike out of it.

and, I'd love to see Trump start up his rallies again within the next 2-4 weeks

Started an actual Turf Fire
Started an actual Turf Fire today accidentally.
Tractor caught on Fire, and then started a small Brush Fire.
I was just doing a lap around the Field running the PTO mower deck.
Made me just a little nervous for a while, but I took care of the situation.
It's Great that I had Fire Extinguishers and Jugs of Water handy ;)
