That commercial is hilarious. "They couldn't stop the colors." I still can't stop them and I love it.

They offered me an hallucination I could not refuse...

the history of this, as well as surf culture co-mingling with LSD/Hippie culture is super fascinating. i'm just a few miles down the road from the southern epicenter of this.

huge resurgence in psychedelic surfboard resin art as of late also.

Turtle - i want to come board shopping this summer and find a cosmic midlength.

We had a market area sports TV network called "The Sunshine Network"

Had a nice hat from them that I loved with their emblem on itDE9AFDC3-E3B2-4DED-AC15-8821949F6756.png

Rainbow - anyone do any of the Rainbow paper back in the late 70s? Damn was that blotter loaded to the hilt

>a cosmic midlength.<

my friend moved to slo a few years ago and has gotten pretty good at shaping...TLSD is his brand..he does a good "fun board".may go that route but there are quite a few good SD and SC based mid-length builders. C'mon down whenever that is.

Looks like bob snodgrass style glass pipe art motifs.

Still have my Snoddy sherlock and one Dave and Amy hammer left.

I'm still waiting for my free flashbacks.

I still have my snoddy sherlock as well

I bought some supposed 'sunshine ' L in the lot at RFK 93 and I doubt it was but it was plain orange blotter and it was fantastic.  Saw the dude the second day as I was vending selling grilled cheese sandwiches. .and wound up talking to him and bought a page for like fifty bucks or so which I thought was a great deal considering 2for5 in the lot. Only problem it was gonna be sent to me and I believed him that he would send it. Well, a bunch of time went by and I wrote it off as a loss.. lesson learned. .. but then early that next spring I got a letter in the mail with a note apologizing about how long it took but also included the sheet I had been waiting on.  Awesome!  And it was a freshly dipped Felix the Cat print on blue paper and it was so clean and good.

But even the Orange paper I got at rfk was still 'wet' double dipped just incredible

Three years gone.

Happened to be in Los Angeles visiting family and he was speaking and promoting his book.  Have a signed copy and he was pleasant.
