Somebody should be starting to work on this idea for Election Day:
For one day, all banks with drive thrus (no, not fast food joints and liquor stores), should be set up and staffed for voting.
Drive up past some recording that tells you what to do wile you wait. Drive up to window to show ID. Use paper ballots that could be zoooped thru those tubes. Handle everything with gloves. Store results in safe until collected.
I think all towns might have enough banks to pull this off -- if not it's off to vote at the fast food joint that best represents your political beliefs.

Does your area still have those tubes? That’s a blast from the past. Around here it’s just drive thru ATM’s now.

"McDonald’s restaurants are not only promoting the local elections by holding political debates across Denmark, but some have even turned into polling stations, allowing voters to cast early ballots."

California has offered it in
California has offered it in Santa Ana. With electronic ballots.
We still have primaries coming up and voting at the local elementary school may be a problem, based on my very limited experience working the polls.

As some of you know, all
As some of you know, all Oregon voting takes place by mail-in ballots. You can deliver them to a drive-up mail box looking thing or to the election headquarters but otherwise it's by mail. There are no polling places. Will that work for your idea, Alan?

<all Oregon voting takes place by mail-in ballots>
I did not know that.
If it works, it should be, at lest an option, for everyone.
I'm going to have to call today to see if we can still do that here, as they just confirmed the first case in my County.
<Whadja say, Hon?>
We hear that a lot around Baltimore, every day, hon.
