Stuffed with Garlic - Anyone Like These ? They Are Good With an Ice Cold Beer.

I will eat them straight out the jar.

By the fistful

Anybody here know about growing olives?

Like both black and most all varieties of green.  Really like Jeff's Garden brand, but they're pricey ... so wait until they go on sale and stock up.

Love 'em.  We always seemed to have a jar in the fridge when I was a kid.  Also, on thin crust pizza with sausage.  Square cut please.

Yes.

Bread and butter pickles, also.

I had some green olives in a bluefish salad for lunch today.

Stuffed with Blue Cheese please.

Now what about Kalamata olives?

All I know is the the northeast isn't the proper climate.  My grandparents still had a couple trees when I was a kid but by that time they never fruited.  I've heard that they need a temp drop but not as extreme as the CT winters.  Their cuts of fig trees from Italy still thrive in that neighborhood.

I love all kinds of olives. The brinier the better.  For those that like green olives but want a more delicate taste try green cerginola.  Not available everywhere but they're worth searching out.

Im not particularly a fan of fish but baccala(salted dried cod, then reconstituted in water) with green and calamata olives is pretty damn good.

They're certainly not shy about their pricing but the product is killer

Best pickled garlic by far. Stuffed in olives or by the jar.

what does this mean?

>That's one way of putting it!

I grab them when they come to local events.  $9 a quart for any product.  I'll bring up a thread this summer when theyre back around and if anyone is interested ill ship out.

There Are Some Great Varieties out there = I Love Olives !

All good, but I prefer the ones with jalapenos in them.

And I have 2 very small trees in pots.  We'll see.

Jonas, if those were organic, I would spend 20 for a qt.

A year or 2 you should get some fruit on those trees.

Unfortunately, there's nothing organic about Pickle Guy's product.  I'm guessing everything comes from mass production facilities.

It means who cuts pizza into squares?

I'm just kidding ... kind of ... one of my favorite places cuts into squares, although I see Yelp only gives them 3 stars:
