Miles Davis—Birth of the Cool on PBS

Forums:

For those bored of the Dems picking each other to bits, an alternative . Tonight at 9:00 check local listing for day/time in your area

If anyone hasn't seen it, "Miles Ahead" which came out about four years ago is a hoot.  Its a largely fictional biopic/crime caper featuring a late seventies recluse era Miles.

Here is the trailer:

Thanks for posting this , looking forward.

It must be fund raising time.

Does that mean you can get "Kinda Blue" on two channels at the same time?

Yeah fucking morons are handing the election to the dipshit

I saw this at the theater and highly recommend.

I've always been kind of cool to The Birth Of The Cool.  I preferred the New York City Hard Bop that Miles followed up this soft West Coast period of his career with.

Jimmy Cobb, the only remaining player alive from the band that recorded Miles' classic Kind of Blue is performing the entire album at the Blue Note, NYC tomorrow (2/26) night.

Mr. Cobb is 93- damn, how cool is that?
