Greater Idaho

Forums:

There is a movement afoot to break off Eastern Oregon and parts of Southern Oregon and Northern California and have them join Idaho.   It will apparently be on the ballot in a couple rural counties and I can see the yahoos out there actually voting to secede and join Idaho.   Idaho's governor says he is open to the idea, but it would require the approval of the Oregon legislature and I don't see that happening.

Here is the proposed redrawn map of Idaho:

I doubt the counties west of cascades in southern Oregon or Northern California would vote to join Idaho. But Eastern Oregon? Maybe.

I would hope we would lower our income tax in Oregon if this ever did happen since we subsidize eastern Oregon quite a bit.

I know a few zoners that should be sent there.

if it means lower property taxes - I'm Greater Idaho bound- fuck Marion County

Racket would like it.

Even trade they can join Idaho if California can join Canada

Come and take it.

Surf's up in Idaho!

Maybe instead we should divide Idaho up between WA, OR, NV, WY, MT, and Canada. I don't think anyone would miss it.

Surf, which states get the potatoes?

Looks like it might be NV;  they're closest to the tater zone.

I remember meeting up w/ a mormon cabin owner during a trek out to my ID claims several years ago.  He stated how he thought "dark skinned people were put on the earth to serve us"  (meaning mormons).

Whatever happened to the State of Jefferson?  If I recall, there actually were a few counties (and sheriffs) on board w/ that

>>>>Whatever happened to the State of Jefferson?

It has merged somewhat with the Greater Idaho movement.   State of Jefferson was to be its own state while the Greater Idaho movement seeks to just move the Idaho border over.

There's always a "State of Jefferson" rap whenever I attend the Galice mining district meetings, good times!

Tater Zone sounds like a free game installed on a crappy cell phone.

Or Idaho's premier theme park.

I know who should sponsor the theme park;

<<The J. R. Simplot Company (commonly referred to as Simplot) was founded in 1929 by 20-year-old John Richard Simplot near the small agricultural community of Declo in south central Idaho, United States. During the early 1940s the business expanded, serving the military dehydrated onions and potatoes during World War II. The firm was legally incorporated as the J. R. Simplot Company in 1955.

Simplot made billions from the commercialization of frozen french fries by one of its scientists, chemist Ray L. Dunlap. By the early 1970s it was the primary supplier of french fries to McDonald's; by 2005 it supplied more than half of all french fries for the fast food chain. Simplot also produces fertilizers for agriculture[1] the mining of which has been a cause of recent environmental concerns.

Simplot is now one of the largest privately owned companies in the world (ranked 59th in Private Companies by Forbes magazine in 2004) and has branches in Australia, Canada, Mexico, China, and several other regions. One of the major plants is in Caldwell, Idaho.

You mean I wouldn’t have to pay for bernouts like you slack?

Years ago I had a blast in Island Park. Good place to watch osprey ridge soar.

Retiring white cops need land for their compounds.  Idaho simply must expand. [We need an eyeroll emoji in here.]

They are in trinity co.

Racket, what have you given me if I haven't asked you for anything?

Who da ho?
