Steve Kimock Live at Umeda Club Quattro Osaka, Japan on 2020-02-12 (VOODOO DEAD)

Moe.dude didn't make the trip to Japan, so this show, 2/9 and 2/11* are quartet shows.  They on the home page for now, but will list under "Kimock" if you're using the Search function.

* A local trumpet player sits in on several tunes.

Also, many tunes are instrumental versions.  More about George's lyrics-recall issues than his voice, I think.cheeky

Roxy Music - For Your Pleasure

I visited my Mom over the weekend and she asked me to take the box full of my Dad's cd's (much of them gifts from me to "update" his collection).

Listening to a lot of Beach Boys and Beatles today and thinking of our musical connection.

30 years since Naked City's first album, lovin' me some John Zorn

Pink Floyd outtakes yes

A bit too much crackle, on the audio of the video of Phil in the TXR backyard yesterday.

It's intermittent, but annoying.  Electric band with no drums is a bit weird, too .

Then ..

Bert Jansch - Jack Orion

Now ..

John Renbourn - The Lady & the Unicorn

Otis Redding - Love Man

(((John Renbourn - The Lady & the Unicorn)))

One of my favorites, as well as Sir John Alot...etc...etc...

Johnny D, love to see the Sir John Alot name drop! I've got a slew of outstanding John Renbourn / Band / Group albums and tapes (and there are so many great live recordings on archive.org, feat. Bert and other members of Pentangle, as well) but it's been nice rediscovering these late 60s  early 70s titles. Really amazing stuff.

War - All Day Music

Query: why does super good, super cool music, sound just that much better on the waxes?

You get the physical vibrations coming directly from the texture of the disc.  Even the skips and crackles emanating from an abused record are endearing to my ears.
