I've had two pairs of Birkenstocks, the first pair were the classic "Arizona", which I wore until they became "stubs" of sorts, the fronts and backs kind of disappeared with age...I was probably overly sentimental about them, I get that way about vehicles. The other pair were the "Milano", which had the strap in the back...but they were the vegan model, so rather than the leather insoles they were cork, which were so uncomfortable I stopped wearing them.
For the record, in regards to Greg's statement that everyone knew the president wouldn't be removed, while I more or less agree, that's neither here nor there...I think we may be witnessing the end of the Democratic Party. No one can credibly deny that it's in an unprecedented state of disarray, once the general public gains a deeper understanding of events, [and they will] it may very well be the end.
I know that's a lot for some of you to process, but the pendulum has just begun to swing, it's not outside the realm of possibility that a confluence of events may well put an end to a once respected and revered institution...it's already unrecognizable, it may soon cease to exist.
It's funny cause some feel that the end of the Republican Party is near. The theory being that the Republican Party is now a cult of personality & when said personalities reign ends, what becomes of the rest. The Democrats won the off-year elections with an 8.6% margin. Donald Trump’s act is unique to him and, in all fairness, would be difficult to replicate. He has very few, if any, core convictions. He relies upon an “in-your-face” defiant attitude that does not come easy for other candidates. Remember the deficit issue? That used to be a big thing, especially when the Republican Party was not in power.
Before writing off either of the two parties, one might want to remember that this election has a long way to go, with many unknowns yet to play into the equation.
