For 2010 it looks like Whites make 50.6%, Latinos 46.9, Non-Hispanic 30, Black 8.3 and Asian 12.6.

That equals, ummmmm, errrrrrrr, uhhhhhh......149.4%

It looks like Fresno is about 50% white, and 50% everyone else, which is a lot less white than most places.

Hispanics are lumped in as "white" because most of them can trace their ancestry to a mix of Spanish and Mesoamerican  despite the fact that many other Hispanics, especially from Southern Mexico and Guatemala, are straight up Indian and have little or no Spanish blood.   But because Hispanics are distinct from traditional "white people" based on culture and language, they are considered a separate demographic.

So reading the demographics above, California can be broken down as:

46.9% Hispanic

30% "White People" (non-hispanic)

12.6% Asian

8.3% Black

That comes out to 97.3%   I assume the rest are American Indians and Pacific Islanders.

Those are Fresno's numbers, not statewide.

Could be Native Hawaiian too I think it's rude to lump them in with the rest of the Pacific Islanders

I was born in Clovis, a little farming community sitting next to Fresno.  Moved at 6yrs old to"the big city".    Could not leave fast enough when I was 20.  Side note.  GD played there in sept 1974. I moved away in June of that yr.  Maybe I should have stayed just a little longer.

But basically, fresburg would fit in better in the middle of Mississippi, Alabama or even Oklahoma.   For the most part, a horrible rightwing piece of shit town with the dumbest motherfuckers in the state. thom would love it there.

San Francisco car break-ins are so common that the city's district attorney is proposing reimbursing residents whose windows are smashed

San Francisco's district attorney is proposing creating an auto-burglary-assistance fund that would reimburse residents for the cost required to repair shattered windows from break-ins.

The DA, Chesa Boudin, is proposing using $1.5 million from the mayor's office to fill the fund. If it passes, it could be the country's first fund of this kind.

"Auto burglaries are the No. 1 way people in San Francisco are directly impacted by crime," Boudin said in the San Francisco Chronicle. "While we know there's more work to do, this is something we can do today to step up and support victims."

The city has been experiencing an epidemic of car break-ins in recent years. In 2019, 25,677 people reported car break-ins, according to data from the San Francisco Police Department. The police department only makes arrests in about 1% of cases.
