I Saw NRPS in Tucson Az in a Funky small classic place with a bounce floor i was right by Buddy he would look over at me smile and Blast his Pedal Steel it was Fun.
In my limited & fairly uneducated opinion he was the best pedal steel player ever, and certainly my favorite.
He had all the tools; he understood the instrument, he understood sound, he understood rock 'n roll. That last tool is one many steel players don't have in their bag.
I am so sad. Thank you Buddy Cage for being part of my experience. Tonight I will ball my eyes out with the first note played at the Capitol Theatre. Calexico give me strength!
