My favorite breakfast spot leans right, lots of trumpers, but they make the best blueberry pancakes around, and the owners are nice folks that treat me good, so there I eat. I'm always so outnumbered, I keep my politics to myself. But yesterday I'm in there as some locals are railing against a few dozen Puerto Rican earthquake refugees being relocated close by. You should have heard these assholes going on about immigrants and foreigners, crime and disease and so on. I was done with my chow so as I got up to leave I just said, you know they're all US citizens that are moving in with family members, right ?
Fucking silence. After an awkward 30 second pause one of em finally says, well I guess that's ok. This country ain't bad under this prez, or evil. It's just fucking stupid, ignorant, dumber than a box'a rox. Looks like it's up to us to open up more and educate these saps.
