Dan Healy interview 1980

Forums:

Dan Healy interviewed backstage at The Cellar Door 3-80 by two University of MD students prior to a Healy-Treece Band show.

He's babbling pretty fast... "any chance if I could get a taste of that?"..chop chop

You may want to fast forward  (audio gets clearer when background conversations stop) to some of the GD recording, Owsley and engineering stories.

The Healy Treece Band, formed by Dan Healy, sometime Grateful Dead soundman, and Richard Treece performed during the 1979 to 1981 period but did not record. During this period Donna Godchaux, Keith Godchaux and Bill Kreutzmann performed with the group. John Cipollina and Kathi McDonald also performed with the group in 1979 and 1980. Mike Larshied was a regular bass player with the band for some of it's existence.

Here's some audio of the band (not from the interview show)

Tidbit: Keith played bass in the band occasionally?
