Official Phish Summer Tour Rumors

Gorge is a 99.9% lock. Seems right now it's a toss up between Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene or Les Schwab Amphitheatre in Bend for 7/21 & 22 (not 23).

Back East rumour is Atlantic City 8/14 -> 8/16 at some Beach location.  Near Bally's casino perhaps ?

Even if that's bullshit,  lodging has filled up for that date range;  good for tourism.

Hoping the AC rumor is true. I am definitely in if Holmdel is somehow included, but I'm not optimistic of that

I think there was an incident in Holmdel. 
 

If I remember correctly that place is kind of picturesque which means Phish's fans will eventually get them banned from playing there.

Chase Center in SF rumored for 7/24-7/25

Saw something very funny at a Phish Holmdel show many years back. Hanging in the lower lot before the show . Three wooks were standing next to a 30 yard dumpster smoking a bowl.  Troopers roll up slowly and see them. Instead of running through 10 yards of grass and into the woods, the wooks jumped into the dumpster.  Troopers were laughing their asses off as the poked their heads in and yelled for the idiots to come out.

Rumor now has it Phish will rehearse for a few days in Eugene then play 2 shows July 14-15 at Matt Knight Arena, which moves Tahoe to 21-22, with Gorge in between.

Loved the Bend shows in '15 but the 10pm curfew as Les Schwab means its not quite dark yet by the encore, which is weird.  Kuroda might as well not even go.

I would imagine Chase Center will be GA floor and reserved seats. A shame they're playing there, the place is huge & sterile.

Hoping for Tahoe for sure, that place is a blast.

Phish playing a large arena for two nights in SF sounds a bit ambitious to me. 

I'd rather travel for another 2 shows outdoors at Lake Tahoe, than go to Chase Center in SF or some other modern urban corporate event center.

What, the venue or the area?

The venue gets a little tight as the majority of the venue is floor space, but it's always been easy enough for me to find a spot along the sides or in the bleachers even going in after they start, and if you go in a half-hour before show time it's easy to find a good spot.

As for the area, South Tahoe is off the beaten path enough that the times they've played there in the past there haven't been too many hangers-on milling around looking to sell shit, mooch off everyone and trash the place. There's been a little of that but not too much. It's mostly folks with tickets to the shows, and middle of the week in July is not the happening tourist time so it's always pretty damned cool overall.

And it will be interesting to see how Chase sells. If they're Friday/Saturday shows that will help, but it's been a long time since they've played a large venue in the area so it's hard to gauge their popularity. BG Civic always sold out fast, but that place is only 8500, Chase is upwards of 16,000. Ticket prices will probably have a say in how well the shows sell, but it's fine by me if they don't sell well, more room to roam.

I was hoping for the Frost, but maybe Stanford/Goldenvoice didn't want to bring the freak show back to Palo Alto yet.

I'll miss the Civic for Phish, but I'm happy they're still playing so I'm not complaining.

looks pretty cool and the weekend of July 11th/12th is the Death Ride, so I might already be up there staying at a friend's house in South Shore... could work out nicely!

There's no rule against being happy while complaining at the same time, in fact I think it's the Zoner/Deadhead way.

* The asterisked dates are all maybes, though I think most are happening. I'm particularly skeptical of shows 8/4-5, but I can see it especially if they drop another show or two, like 8/11, when I'm still skeptical they'll play Hershey vs. the hairspray tour next door (though other venues in PA and upstate NY may be in play), 8/9, which I'm not sure gets a third night at Creek (they looked early at Star Lake, but don't think it's happening; I've also heard mention of Blossom but would guess DTE myself), or even 7/26 (SoCal off the map?).

Wasn't there also talk of a Phish festival at Lockn in August? Lockn was usually at the end of the month and fits with these rumors.

^^that's what I heard too and it makes me soooo happy! I'm 40 miles from the farm so f anyone needs to be picked up at an airport  

If David Crosby plays w phil and the Q? It may be tough NOT to go to Lockn...

Heard Phish may add a Saratoga date, but i think thats a longshot....

Haven't seen them since 2003- would like to catch them one more time-  that would work.

As mentioned earlier, it appears Phish will rehearse a few days prior to tour opener at Matt Knight Arena. Will they be in town for JRAD? Will Trey sit-in? Will Phish play a secret set at OCF?
