I mean, I can appreciate the tradition and the uniqueness of it all. But as someone who makes and consumes a fair bit of traditional type hashish, just by the nature of the process I just don’t see how hand rubbed charas could ever be produced to as high of a standard as traditional afghan dry sift, “static tek”, or better yet water hash. And since the localized landrace and farmed varieties are never the same once cultivated outside of their native terrior, the only reason to consider charas would really be because of its uniqueness, and the experience, and the moment (you’re in India chilling with local hashishins). It’s not like true charas is available on the street in this hemisphere or really even underground outside of very small quantities which are probably either fake or been stored and handled/transported too much and improperly anyways.
