...it's fairly obvious Schiff & Co. won't allow this to go to trial in the Senate for fear of a level playing field. This brings about an interesting quandary...how do they gradually explain/rationalize that to the American people? If you listen closely, there's already an incremental hedging taking place, once one understands they absolutely cannot allow Schiff, the CIA whistleblower, Joe Biden or Hunter Biden to take the witness stand...there's only one move left, which is to not impeach. Upon that realization, it becomes amusing to read the tea leaves and observing the subtle retreat, it's almost a tone of voice/body language reading of the coup plotters cornered on the chessboard...thus begins the implosion of the Democrats for a generation, and rightly so.

I remember the first time I
I remember the first time I watched Fox News. I was a young man back then; I had recently graduated from college and had landed a job with a good salary. I was also engaged to my college sweetheart. Prior, I would only watch Fox News in passing. My friends and I would laugh at the mudslinging tactics from the news anchors and their vapid policies. I was also a registered Democrat.
One day...that all changed.
One night, I was flipping through the channels on the TV and I happened to stop on Fox News. The remote was suddenly out of batteries so I could not change the channel. Much as I regret to this day, I was lazy to turn off the TV and just sat back and imbibed the rhetoric from the Fox News. I laughed for the first few minutes, but slowly found myself nodding my head and my grin dissipated. Suddenly, the whole world changed for me. Different universes began to unfold before my very eyes. I became addicted to Fox News. In the days when my fiance was not home, I would clandestinely tune in to Fox and became brain washed. Increasingly, I started to have a more cynical outlook towards life and started to shun those closest to me. I took to cigarettes. I became increasingly short tempered and hostile towards my liberal friends and even my fiance. My performance at my job started to decline since instead of working, I would be listening to Rush Limbaugh and Karl Rove.I would be printing Bush/Cheney posters from the office printer and posted them around the office. I started to share Alex Jone's conspiracy theories with my coworkers who were very much taken aback. Eventually, my boss told me he had to let me go.
My fiance left me. My friends deserted me. I lost my job. I could not afford to pay my mortgage and was left on the streets. Nonetheless, I would go by my local Sears everyday to the TV section and switch on Fox news. After a couple weeks, the salesman caught on to what I was doing and threatened to call security. After that I spent my time getting reactions on a drug band message board.
After many years of traveling the country and thinking over my life, I am frustrated at why this happened to me. I was in the prime of my youth and had everything: a home, a good job, and great friends, and was engaged to the love of my life. My former fiance has now moved far ahead in her life and is married with two kids. I had allowed Fox News to bring to surface the dark side of my subconscious and allowed me to become someone who I was not.
Today, I am proud to say that I have gone 37 months without watching Fox News or tuning into any right-wing propaganda for that matter. I relapsed initially, but it gradually got better overtime. I wanted to share my story so that none of you makes the mistake I regret to this day.

I think you'll begin to see the White House call the bluff and outright dare Schiff and Pelosi to go ahead and vote to impeach knowing that isn't a viable option. Again, a trial in the senate would be cataclysmic for the democrats. Take a moment and imagine Joe & Hunter Biden on the witness stand.

I think it could be argued that this farce not even going to trial could be considered "breaking new ground", but I digress.
To Larry's question, no I haven't watched the FX program other than 15 minutes or so flipping through the channels once. As far as foreign policy is concerned I think all sides would agree that comparatively speaking this is the first president in a long time that ran on a platform of a nonintervention and has made efforts to bring to a close the endless wars of the Bush/Obama era. No one engaging in an honest discussion would credibly argue we would be less engaged militarily under a Hillary Clinton presidency.
To the question of whether or not there are powers that be fighting for globalization, there most certainly are...that those subjects have been deemed "off limits" by the corporate media cabal is curious to say the least.
Again, these next days and weeks will be fascinating to observe the slow retreat of the democrats knowing they cannot be subjected to a trial in the Senate, some may find that significant.
